Poggio San Marcello

The area sits in the Esino valley with cultivated hills and river terraces, with the first ridges of the Marche Apennine foothills inland. The Esino river runs through this part of the province. Within this radius the main centre is Jesi, which has a substantial historic centre, services and rail connections. The wider area is known for Verdicchio wine, with vineyards across the hills around Jesi and the middle Esino valley.
