The cluster is in the Valtournenche side valley under the Pennine Alps, with Monte Zerbion above the area and the Matterhorn/Cervino group dominating the upper valley views farther up. The Marmore stream runs down the valley below. The area sits within the mountain belt that leads to Breuil-Cervinia, and the nearest major ski domain is Cervinia-Valtournenche at roughly 25–35 km by road depending on the access point. Châtillon is the nearest town of size, with rail access, shops and services, and Saint-Vincent is nearby with additional services and the casino. The area is known for alpine pasture, larch woodland and the long-established mountain tourism of the Cervino valley.
