Rustico/casale in Strada della Vena

The cluster sits in the upper Valdastico at the foot of the Vicentine Prealps, with steep wooded slopes and narrow side valleys immediately around it. The Astico river runs through the valley. This is the area of the Pasubio and Monte Cimone groups, with mountain roads and war memorial sites in the surrounding heights. The nearest ski terrain is on the Folgaria-Lavarone plateau, roughly an hour's drive depending on the starting point in the valley. Schio is the nearest larger town for daily services, shops and rail links. The area is known for prealpine valley scenery and First World War mountain history.
