Camarda: Casa Indipendente nel cuore del paese

The cluster is in the built-up area of L’Aquila, so the resident setting is an inland city basin rather than open countryside. The Gran Sasso massif rises immediately to the north-east, with Campo Imperatore and the Gran Sasso e Monti della Laga National Park within the local mountain setting. The Aterno valley runs through the area. The nearest ski lifts are at Campo Felice and Campo Imperatore, both roughly 30–40 minutes by road depending on the starting point in the city. L’Aquila itself is the main town of size and has the regional capital’s services, a large historic centre, major churches and university facilities. The city is known for its medieval foundation, Romanesque churches and the 2009 earthquake reconstruction.
