Baita in Mura

The cluster is in the Val Sabbia, with the lower slopes of the Brescian Prealps immediately around it. Lake Idro is within about 10 km. The area is close to the Parco delle Fucine di Casto, a protected valley landscape with cliffs, woods and old ironworking sites. The nearest ski lifts are the small Maniva ski area, roughly 30–40 minutes by road depending on the starting point in the comune. The nearest larger town is Vestone in the valley, with everyday services, while Salò on Lake Garda and Brescia are farther out for higher-level services. The wider area is known for prealpine valleys, chestnut and beech woods, outdoor walking routes and the historic ironworking tradition of Val Sabbia.
