Monte Conero rises immediately south of Camerano, with limestone slopes and a coastal headland on the Adriatic. The Conero Regional Park covers the area around the promontory. The Adriatic coast with the beaches below Conero, including the Portonovo side, is within the local area. Ancona is the nearest city of size, with a port, rail connections, hospitals and full urban services. The area is known for the Conero headland, coastal views, woods on limestone terrain, and Rosso Conero wine.
