The cluster lies in the first hills south of Mondovì, with the Ligurian Alps and the Monregalese Alpine valleys beginning within this radius. The Corsaglia valley and the Ellero valley are the nearest named valleys, and the Tanaro valley is close by around Mondovì. The nearest ski area is Prato Nevoso and the Artesina-Frabosa system, roughly a 30 to 40 minute drive depending on the exact hamlet. Mondovì is the nearest town of size, with a substantial historic upper town, services, shops and rail connections. This part of southern Piedmont is known for mixed hill farming, hazelnuts, and as the transition from the Langhe-Monregalese hills to the Alpine valleys.
