Strada dei Prati, Meldola

The cluster is in the first Romagna foothills where the plain gives way to the Apennines, with the Bidente valley running through Meldola and the hill country of the Forlivese within a few kilometres. The Foreste Casentinesi, Monte Falterona e Campigna National Park begins inland to the southwest, with the Campigna forest and the ridge roads of the northern Apennines within about 15 km of the upper valley side of this area. Meldola is the nearest town of size for daily services, and Forlì is the nearest larger city with a full range of shops, rail links and hospitals. This part of Romagna is known for orchard and vineyard country on the plain edge and for the road inland toward the Bidente and Campigna valleys.
