The area around
Location score 68/100The cluster sits on the Daunian hills (Monti Dauni), on a limestone spur overlooking the Tavoliere delle Puglie plain. Landscape within about 15 km is rural: small villages, agricultural land (olive groves, cereal fields and some vineyards) and wooded patches on higher ground. The Adriatic coast of the Gargano promontory lies to the northeast of the town (beaches and coastal resorts are beyond the immediate 15 km hinterland). There are no ski lifts in the area. Nearest larger towns in the province are San Severo and the provincial capital Foggia, which provide hospitals, larger shops and rail connections. The area is part of the wider Gargano/Dauni cultural landscape and is locally known for olive oil and grain agriculture.
