Via Colambrici, Pastena

The cluster sits in southern Lazio in the province of Frosinone on the foothills of the Monti Ausoni. The Grotte di Pastena (Pastena Caves), a karst cave system, lie within a few kilometres of the village. The local terrain within ~15 km is hilly to low-mountain, with limestone/karst geology, forested slopes and small-scale agriculture in the valleys and lower slopes. There are no ski lifts within the immediate area; alpine or Apennine ski facilities are farther away. Nearby small towns within 15 km include Castro dei Volsci and Pico; the provincial capital Frosinone (with regional rail and fuller services) is roughly 30–40 km away. The Tyrrhenian coast (Gulf of Gaeta / Latina area) lies to the west-southwest at roughly 30–40 km by road, and Rome is roughly 100 km to the northwest.
