The cluster is on the Ausoni foothills above the Pontine plain. Monte delle Fate and the Monti Ausoni rise immediately inland, and the Monti Ausoni e Lago di Fondi Regional Natural Park covers much of this nearby limestone upland. The Amaseno valley is close by, and the Tyrrhenian coast around Terracina is about 15 km away at the edge of the radius. Terracina is the nearest substantial town, with services, a railway station nearby at Monte San Biagio-Terracina Mare, and the historic hill town with the Temple of Jupiter Anxur above the coast. The area is known for olive groves on the slopes and for the transition from mountain limestone country to the reclaimed Pontine plain.
