Fiuggi

The town sits in the Ernici area of the central Apennines, with wooded hills and mountain slopes close by. Fiuggi is known nationally for its thermal springs and spa town. The Monti Ernici rise nearby, and the upper Aniene valley is within the local area. The nearest larger centre is Frosinone, which provides the main rail, road and administrative services for this part of southern Lazio. Within about 15 km the landscape is mainly forested upland and settled hill country rather than a single protected landmark.
