Favale di Malvaro – Rustico con vista aperta sul verde

The cluster is in the inland valley country behind the eastern Ligurian coast, with wooded Apennine ridges and steep slopes around the upper Val Fontanabuona and the approach to the Aveto area. The Lavagna basin is the nearest river system. Portofino Regional Natural Park and the promontory are outside the 15 km radius and do not define the immediate setting. The nearest larger town is Chiavari on the coast, which has full services and rail links. This part of inland eastern Liguria is known for small hillside villages, chestnut woods, slate country and road connections from the coast into the interior.
