Terratetto unifamiliare in Sorano

Pitigliano sits on a tuff (tufo) ridge and is surrounded within ~15 km by a landscape of tuff cliffs, gullies and rock-cut settlements; the neighbouring tuff towns of Sovana and Sorano and multiple Etruscan necropolises lie inside that radius. The Fiora river valley and the Albegna drainage have carved deep ravines and shape the local topography. The area is in the inland Maremma (Alta Maremma) and the land use close to the town is a mix of vineyards, olive groves, arable fields and woodlands. The Saturnia thermal springs and baths lie a short drive to the south and are part of the local thermal geology. There are no ski lifts or high alpine relief within 15 km; Mount Amiata and any major ski areas are farther away. The nearest small towns with local services are Sovana and Sorano; Manciano provides larger municipal services and the provincial capital Grosseto is about an hour’s drive.
