Verderio, terra-cielo da ristrutturare

The Adda river runs immediately by Paderno, cut into a wooded gorge with the Paderno and Cornate stretches of the river and the old iron bridge at San Michele nearby. This is the Adda North Regional Park area, with riverside woodland, paths and patches of cultivated land along the valley. The nearest larger towns are Merate and Vimercate for everyday services, while Lecco, Monza and Bergamo are all the nearest bigger urban centres beyond the local basin. The area is known for the Adda valley landscape and for Leonardo-related river engineering sites farther along the river corridor, including the naviglio and ferry at Imbersago within the same stretch.
