Via Niccolò Machiavelli, 5, Veglie

The area sits in the Salento plain between Lecce and the Ionian side, with flat agricultural land dominated by vineyards and olive groves. Porto Cesareo and the Ionian coast are within about 15 km, with low sandy shores, dunes and offshore islets around the marine area there. Lecce is the nearest city of size, with a large historic centre and full services. The area is known for wine production, especially Salice Salentino and other Salento reds.
