Via Casale Cerrate, 41, Lecce

This is the Salento plain around Lecce, with low, flat to gently undulating ground and intensive olive-growing countryside. The nearest coast is the Adriatic shore between San Cataldo and Torre Chianca, with sandy stretches, low dunes and wetlands. The Le Cesine nature reserve and state reserve lie on the coast south-east of Lecce. Lecce is the nearest city of size and has a large historic centre with Baroque churches, a Roman amphitheatre and full urban services. The area is known for Baroque architecture, Salento olive groves and proximity to the beaches of the Lecce coast.
