Villa a schiera in Taviano

The cluster is on the Ionian coast of the Salento peninsula, with low rocky shore and small inlets around Torre Suda and the marina of Racale. The nearest larger beach system is around Gallipoli to the north, while the inland landscape is the flat to gently undulating Salento plain with olive groves and dry-stone walls. Ugento is the nearest town of some size to the south, and Gallipoli is the nearest larger coastal centre with a full harbour, services and a substantial historic core. The area is known for Salento seaside tourism and for olive-growing.
