Contrada Verdefiore, 14, Appignano

The cluster sits in the cultivated hill country to the west of the Adriatic plain and just outside the urban area of Macerata. Landscape within about 15 km is predominantly agricultural: arable fields, vineyards, olive groves and small woodlands on gentle hills. The Chienti is the main local river corridor for the area. The nearest named mountain system is the central Apennines to the west (higher Sibillini peaks lie farther beyond the immediate 15 km radius). Macerata is the closest city of size and provides a university, the open‑air Sferisterio opera arena, provincial administrative services, larger shops and cultural programming. Road links connect to the coastal SS16/A14 corridor and the rail hub at Civitanova Marche; there are no national parks or UNESCO landscape designations inside the 15 km radius.
