Casa colonica in Loro Piceno

The area sits in the inland Marche hills between the Chienti and Fiastra valleys, with cultivated slopes, small woods and long views toward the Sibillini chain. The Monti Sibillini are within about 15 km to the west, and the Sibillini relief is the main landscape feature around the village. The Monti Sibillini National Park begins nearby on the mountain side of the area. Sarnano is the nearest small town of note, with a preserved historic centre and services, and Macerata is the nearest larger provincial town for full everyday services. The nearest ski lifts are those of Sassotetto above Sarnano, reached by mountain road in roughly 30 to 40 minutes. This part of inland Macerata is known for hill villages, mixed farming and access to the Sibillini foothills.
