Casa colonica in Valfornace

The cluster is in the Sibillini Apennines, with Monte Bove, Monte Bicco and the high ridges around the upper Chienti valley within about 15 km. Lake Fiastra is within this radius. Much of the surrounding area falls inside Monti Sibillini National Park. The nearest ski area is at Frontignano-Ussita, roughly 20–30 minutes by road depending on the exact hamlet. The nearest town of some size is Camerino, which has services and the university. This part of the Marche is known for mountain scenery, hiking, summer lakeside use around Fiastra, and villages rebuilt after the 2016 earthquakes.
