The cluster is on the Ionian side of the Peloritani hills above the lower valley of the Agrò, with short steep ridges and terraced slopes dropping toward the coast. This part of the Messina province is known for small hill villages above the Ionian coast, citrus and olive cultivation on terraces, and strong road links between inland ridges and the seafront.
