The cluster sits inside the continuous built-up suburbs north of Naples and is part of the Naples metropolitan area. The Gulf of Naples (Tyrrhenian Sea) and the metropolitan coastline are within the local area. Naples city and its services (the port, Napoli Centrale rail hub, hospitals, universities and major museums) are the nearest larger urban centre. Napoli–Capodichino (Naples) airport and the city’s main rail and road links are inside the local transport catchment. Naples historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, falls within the roughly 15 km radius. The immediate surroundings are mainly suburban and industrial fabric rather than named natural landscape features; there are few named scenic landmarks inside 15 km. Mount Vesuvius and Vesuvius National Park lie to the east-southeast but are slightly beyond the ~15 km radius from the town centre.
