Terratetto plurifamiliare in Vivaro

The cluster is in the Meduna plain at the foot of the Friulian Prealps, with the mountains closing the northern horizon within this radius. The Meduna river corridor is the main natural feature nearby, with broad stony beds and gravelly farmland typical of this part of western Friuli. The nearest substantial town is Spilimbergo, which has a preserved historic centre and is known for the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli. Maniago is also nearby and is known for knife-making. This is part of the transition from the upper Friulian plain to the prealpine valleys rather than a protected or formally designated landscape.
