This is the lower Po plain between the Po and Lambro valleys, with flat agricultural land, irrigation channels and scattered farmsteads. The Po runs nearby and shapes the wider landscape of embankments, fields and riverside woods. Chignolo Po is known for the large Baroque castle complex usually called the Castello di Chignolo Po. The nearest larger towns for daily services are Pavia, Lodi and Piacenza.
