Ravenna

This is the central Romagna plain between Ravenna and Faenza, with canals, fields and scattered hamlets around the Lamone valley. The nearest town of size is Ravenna, which has a large historic centre with major Byzantine monuments and UNESCO status, but it lies outside the immediate landscape of the cluster. The area is known for intensive agriculture and fruit growing on the Po-adjacent lowlands.
