Piazza Assunta, 3, Oppido Mamertina

The cluster sits in the Gioia Tauro plain, with Aspromonte rising inland to the east and northeast. The nearest coast is the Tyrrhenian shore around Gioia Tauro and Palmi. The Aspromonte National Park begins inland on the mountain side of the plain. Taurianova is one of the larger centres of this part of the plain, with everyday services and road links toward Gioia Tauro, Palmi and the inland valleys. The wider area is known for olive groves and citrus cultivation, and for the port-industrial zone around Gioia Tauro on the coast.
