Casa con due terrazze

The area sits in the inland hills above the Ionian side of the Locride, with short valleys and ridges that drop toward the coast. The Torbido river valley is the main landscape feature in this part of the province. Aspromonte rises inland to the west, but the main mountain mass is beyond the immediate area. The nearest larger centre is Locri on the coast, which has everyday services and rail links along the Ionian line. Gerace, a few kilometres inland, is a major historic hill town with a cathedral and a large old centre, and it is listed among I Borghi più belli d'Italia. This part of the Locride is known for olive groves and for hill towns set above the Ionian plain.
