Via Filippo Turati, 4, Monterosso Almo

The cluster sits in the Hyblaean plateau, with limestone hills, dry valleys and mixed farmland typical of the interior of Ragusa province. The Irminio river basin is nearby, and the Cava dei Servi and other Hyblaean cave valleys are in the wider area around Monterosso Almo. The nearest larger town is Ragusa, which has the services of a provincial capital and the late-Baroque urban landscape shared with the Val di Noto UNESCO area. Monterosso Almo itself is one of I Borghi più belli d’Italia. This part of the Hyblaean interior is known for stone-built hill settlements, pasture and olive landscapes, and for access to the baroque towns of south-eastern Sicily.
