Rustico in Roma

The cluster lies in the western outskirts of Rome near the Tyrrhenian side of the metropolitan area, in low rolling countryside that quickly gives way to suburban fabric and major roads. The Arrone river crosses this part of the Agro Romano on its way to the coast. Lake Bracciano is within about 15 km to the north, with volcanic hills around the lake and the lakeside towns of Anguillara Sabazia, Trevignano Romano and Bracciano; Bracciano has the Odescalchi castle. The nearest large town is Rome, which provides all city services and monuments but also means the surrounding landscape is strongly conditioned by urban expansion and infrastructure.
