Contursi Terme

The cluster is in the valley of the Sele, with the Picentini mountains close by to the west and the upper hills of the Campanian Apennines around it. The Sele river runs through this part of the province. The Monti Picentini Regional Park lies nearby on the western side of the valley. Oliveto Citra has a hilltop historic centre and castle remains above the river plain. Contursi Terme, the nearest small centre of note, is known for thermal springs. Eboli is the nearest larger town in daily reach, with full services and rail connections. This inland part of eastern Salerno is known for olive groves, mixed farming and thermal water around the Sele valley.
