Via Pedemontana, 18, Teggiano

The cluster sits in the Vallo di Diano below the southern Campanian Apennines, with the Monti della Maddalena and other ridges close around the plain. The Tanagro river runs through this valley. The Cilento, Vallo di Diano e Alburni National Park covers this area. Teggiano is a substantial hill town with a large medieval core, a castle, and churches and palazzi concentrated inside the old centre. The Certosa di Padula, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is nearby in the same valley. This part of inland Campania is known for its broad enclosed valley between mountain chains and for historic hill towns above the plain.
