Via Giuseppe Giusti, Francofonte

This is inland eastern Sicily on the Catania plain, with cultivated low hills and citrus groves around Francofonte. The Simeto valley lies nearby, and the foothills of the Hyblaean Mountains begin to the south and southeast. Lentini is the nearest larger town in the area, with everyday services and rail links, and Catania is the main city used for higher-level services and the airport. The area is known for citrus production, especially blood oranges.
