Rivara

The cluster is in the Canavese area at the first rise from the Po plain toward the Graian Alps, with wooded hills and cultivated lower slopes. The Orco valley begins nearby to the west and the Alpine chain is visible at short range, but the high mountain terrain is outside the immediate 15 km landscape. Turin is the nearest large city and provides the main services, while Cuorgnè and Rivarolo Canavese are the closest towns of size for everyday shops and rail links. This part of Canavese is known for small hill settlements, mixed farmland and woodland rather than for a single major named natural feature inside the immediate area.
