The area is tied to the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, a UNESCO World Heritage cultural landscape of steep vineyard slopes and small hill settlements, and Cison di Valmarino itself is one of I Borghi più belli d'Italia. The nearest sizeable town is Vittorio Veneto, which has full services, rail connections and a substantial historic centre. This part of northern Treviso is known for hillside vineyards, woods and old villages along the route toward the passes into Belluno.
