The Adda runs nearby at Calusco and Capriate, and Lake Garlate and the Lecco branch of Lake Como are within about 15 km to the west. Monte Canto and the wooded ridges around Pontida and Val San Martino shape the immediate landscape. Lecco is the nearest town of size, with a lakefront, rail links and full services.
