San Pellegrino Terme itself is a historic spa town with Liberty-era buildings and the San Pellegrino thermal complex. The Orobie Bergamasche Regional Park begins nearby on the upper sides of the valley and covers much of the mountain area to the north. The nearest ski area is Foppolo-Carona in the upper Val Brembana, about 35–45 km away and roughly 45–60 minutes by road depending on the exact point. Bergamo is the nearest city of size, with a substantial historic upper town, rail connections and full services.
