Quadrilocale

The area lies on the lower Misa valley a few kilometres inland from the Adriatic coast, with low cultivated hills and small river plain around the Misa and Nevola. The nearest coast is the Senigallia shore on the Adriatic, with long sandy beaches and the seafront services of a substantial town. Senigallia is the nearest town of size, with a port, rail station, hospitals and a large historic centre. Ostra and Corinaldo are nearby hill towns inland; Corinaldo is a member of I Borghi più belli d'Italia. This part of northern Marche is known for mixed farmland, small hill villages and access to the coast rather than for a singular protected landscape within the immediate area.
