Porzione di cascina terra- tetto all' asta a Giussano

This is the Brianza belt north of Milan, with a built-up mix of towns, villas, local industry and remaining parkland. The Lambro river runs through the area, and the Valle del Lambro Regional Park covers Carate Brianza and neighbouring communes. Monza is the nearest larger town, with the royal park and the Villa Reale. Lake Como and the first Prealps are farther north and matter more for outings than for the immediate landscape. Brianza is known for furniture-making and small manufacturing.
