The Ticino river corridor and the Parco del Ticino (regional park) run in this part of the province; parts of the park are within roughly 10–15 km. The southern shore of Lake Maggiore and its lakeside towns (Arona/Angera area) lie to the north–northwest at roughly a 10–15 km scale. The nearest town of size is Borgomanero (around 8–12 km), which provides shops, services and local transport connections. The higher ground of the Mottarone and its tourist facilities (cable car/ski area) is visible from the wider area but is generally a 20–30 km drive.
