The plateau contains a network of marked cross-country trails and a few small downhill ski lifts; a larger piste network and lift infrastructure are on the nearby Folgaria ski area (a short drive). The area includes multiple World War I fortifications and related open-air historic sites. The Cimbrian-speaking village of Luserna (Lusérn) is on the same plateau and contains a surviving Cimbrian-speaking community. There is no national-park designation covering the plateau; regional parks are farther away. The nearest cities of size are Trento and Rovereto (roughly 15–20 km), which provide rail links, hospitals and provincial-level services.
