APPARTAMENTO - Valsamoggia (BO) via Rimondello COPIA

This area sits in the first Bolognese Apennine hills, with cultivated ridges, small wooded slopes and stream valleys leading down toward the Samoggia valley. The Samoggia river runs through the area. Within about 15 km are the abbey complex of Monteveglio and the regional park of Abbazia di Monteveglio, which protects low hills, badlands in places, woodland and farmland. Bazzano is the main nearby centre, with a fortress above the town, and Bologna is the nearest major city for full services and rail connections. The area is known for vineyards and wine production, especially Pignoletto, along with mixed farming in the hills.
