Corte rurale indipendente

This is the flat central Po plain between Bologna and Modena, with arable land, drainage canals and scattered farmhouses around the built-up town. The Reno river runs to the east of the area, and the Samoggia is nearby to the west. Bologna is the nearest large city and provides the main rail, services and airport access. San Giovanni in Persiceto is known locally for its agricultural plain setting and as one of the main centres of the north-western Bolognese plain.
