Casale in Imola

This is on the plain at the foot of the northern Apennines, with cultivated land and low hills to the south around the first valleys that rise toward the Tosco-Romagnolo Apennines. The Santerno river runs through Imola. Imola is itself the nearest town of size, with a substantial historic centre, full services, rail links, and the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari. The area is known for agriculture and as a market town on the Via Emilia corridor. Because the cluster is inside the built-up area of a city above 50,000 residents, the score is capped.
