Via delle Grotte, Trevi

The cluster is on the flank of the Umbrian Apennine foothills above the Valle Umbra, with olive groves on the slopes and a broad farmed plain below. The Topino and Clitunno river system runs through the valley floor nearby. Monte Subasio Regional Park is within reach to the north around Assisi and Spello, and the Monti Martani rise to the southwest. Foligno is the nearest larger town, with rail links, services and a working town centre; Spoleto is also close, with a substantial historic centre on the hill. Trevi is known for olive cultivation and olive oil, and this part of Umbria is one of the classic olive-growing slopes of the central Apennines.
