Quadrilocale in Brindisi Montagna

The cluster lies in the Lucanian Apennines. The Basento valley is the main local river corridor, and the area is part of the Appennino Lucano landscape west of Potenza. The Gallipoli Cognato Piccole Dolomiti Lucane Regional Park is within this area, with the sandstone peaks around Pietrapertosa and Castelmezzano nearby. The nearest ski lifts are on Monte Pierfaone in the Sellata area, reached in roughly 30–40 minutes by road. Potenza is the nearest town of size and provides the main rail links, hospitals and services. Castelmezzano and Pietrapertosa are known for their position among the Lucanian Dolomites and are listed among I Borghi più belli d’Italia.
