Bella

The cluster sits in the Lucanian Apennines, in hilly to low-mountain country around the upper valleys west of Potenza. The Platano valley is the main local river landscape in this part of the province. The nearest larger town is Potenza, with the provincial services, rail links and hospitals. This inland part of Basilicata is known for wooded slopes, mixed farming and small hill towns rather than for a single landmark within the immediate area.
