Torvaianica-lungomare delle sirene

The cluster is in the built-up area of Pomezia on the Roman coastal plain, with low flat ground between the Tyrrhenian coast and the Alban Hills. The Tyrrhenian coast is nearby, with the long beach system of Torvaianica on this stretch. The Riserva Naturale di Decima-Malafede lies inland to the north-west of the Alban Hills side of this area, and the edge of the Parco Regionale dei Castelli Romani is farther inland around the volcanic hills. Rome is the nearest large city and provides the full range of services, major transport links and cultural institutions. The area is known for postwar planned urban growth, industry and logistics, and for the seaside strip at Torvaianica.
