Rosolina sits on the Adriatic coast; Rosolina Mare beach and a coastal pine strip (pineta) lie immediately seaward of the town. The cluster is inside the Po Delta low plain of canals, lagoons and salt marshes where the Po river branches toward the sea. The area falls within the Parco Regionale del Delta del Po. The Po Delta in this sector is listed as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The private island-resort of Albarella and its marina lie a few kilometres off the coast to the south. Local infrastructure within the 15 km radius includes bathing establishments, campings, small marinas and boat-tour operators servicing the lagoons; birdwatching and lagoon fisheries are active local activities. The terrain is flat coastal plain and wetlands; there are no mountains or ski facilities within about 15 km. The nearest larger town is Porto Viro (roughly 10–15 km) with river-port facilities and basic services; the provincial capital Rovigo is about 35–40 km inland with broader services and rail links. Venice and its airports are farther away (around 60–80 km to the northeast).
