Via Brandileone, 81, Buonabitacolo

The cluster lies in the Vallo di Diano, with the southern Campanian Apennines around it and the valley floor used for fields and pasture. The Tanagro river runs through this valley. The area is close to the Cilento, Vallo di Diano e Alburni National Park, which includes the mountains and uplands around the plain. Montesano sulla Marcellana is the nearest larger local centre, and Sala Consilina is the main service town of the valley with shops, schools and a motorway junction. Padula, within the same valley, has the Certosa di San Lorenzo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This part of the Vallo di Diano is known for a broad inland basin between limestone mountains rather than for a single dominant landmark right at the village.
